Providing a great product experience to consumers to help maintain sales momentum, especially during seasonal retail peaks.

Lindt Canada, a category leader in the chocolatier space, reached out to Sparks for support beyond what their internal team could accommodate. They asked our team to develop and execute a national in-store demo program to help support their sales targets; a necessity year-round, but especially during seasonal peaks when competition was at its highest.

Sparks took this challenge and developed an end-to-end in-store demo experience for their customers. This included brand ambassador recruitment, training, education and retention strategy planning to build a great and memorable experience.

Lindt is a premium brand, so the plan had to ensure that we maintained brand standards at every touchpoint.  This was critical during the recruitment phase for brand ambassadors, as well as building out the educational component of the in-store demo program.

Our work with Lindt hit on our goals of providing a great customer experience, one that people raved about online to their friends and family. This resulted in greater turnout at future events as awareness of the program continued to grow.

Retail sales averaged a 12% lift YoY, especially during the critical seasonal times of Christmas and Easter. In addition, we exceeded Lindt’s goal of delivering 1 million samples during the campaign. As a result, Lindt Canada has continued to invest in the program in subsequent years.

Sparks was even engaged by Lindt USA to execute on the same program for their market, due to the success that the Canadian market experienced!
